Possible Forging of Modern Artworks Investigated

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York are investigating whether a group of paintings and drawings, sold for years by some of New York’s most elite art dealers as the work of Modernist masters (think Robert Motherwell and Jackson Pollock), actually consists of expert forgeries.
