Tattoo Waivers Coming to a Parlor Near You

We’ve blogged about tattoos and law quite a few times in the past (just look here).

There’s an interesting article in next month’s ABA Journal that cites the probability that tattoo recipients will eventually have to sign a waiver granting the tattoo artists all intellectual property rights. I can see that happening, especially with the number of tattoo lawsuits the past few years and the growing number of people getting inked (although one tattoo parlor near me just closed, right in good ol’ trendy and hipster Williamsburg).

But should everyone with ink be concerned about copyright or trademark lawsuits?
