Will the Real Peter Doig Please Stand Up

Does a Canadian man have one of Peter Doig’s first paintings? He certainly thinks he does, and is asking a cool $1 million for it.

    The artist has not said he did not paint it. He merely says ” It is not a Peter Doig painting” he is not saying “I did not paint it”.
    Peter Doige was busted for LSD. Peter Doig talked to interviewer Tim Adams about his taking LSD. The painting by the teenaged prisoner is very advanced and has allusions to Doig’s mature style.
    I know there is someone out there who knew him as a teen before he went to UK. I would love to hear from them. Peter Bartlow — Chicago
