Performing Legal Consults at Bard’s Hessel Museum of Art

Performing Legal Consults (Office), Hessel Museum, Bard College (2013)

In the spring of 2013, I was part of an exhibition at Bard College’s Hessel Museum of Art, as part Bard’s Center for Curatorial Studies. The exhibition, Persona Ficta, was curated by Cora Fisher.

My project consisted of providing free legal consults for artists, and took place on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 1-5pm. In effect, I continue my practice of law as art practice by extending the geographical scope of my law office. Although my performance lasted only 4 hours, my business cards were present within the museum space during the entire exhibition period.
