Getty Images Sued for Infringement of 47,000 More Images

Once again, Getty Images is subject to a lawsuit over unauthorized licensing of images, this time more than 47,000 from Zuma Press’ collection. In the complaint, Zuma’s attorney, Richard Liebowitz, accuses Getty Images of “carelessly and recklessly acquiring content.” Damages, to add to the $1 billion lawsuit in the works, are so far unspecified.

According to arstechnica, Kelly Goucher, a Getty spokeswoman, e-mailed to say: “We are in the process of reviewing the complaint and investigating the matter, and are unable to comment further at this time. We hope to resolve the matter as soon as possible.” There are no current updates on the matter in the Getty Images online “press room.”
