Glafira Rosales’s Guilty Plea Good News for Ann Freedman

So says Freedman’s lawyer,

For Freedman, Rosales’s guilty plea to nine counts, including wire fraud, money laundering, and tax evasion, was, as one of her lawyers, Nicholas Gravante Jr., puts it, devastating. Freedman had been dangling from a ledge of denial: Rosales’s guilty plea pushed her fingers right off. And yet, as Gravante notes, the plea is good news—great news—for his client. For nearly two years, the art world had wondered if Freedman colluded with Rosales. Freedman’s lawyer says that Rosales’s plea makes clear that that was not the case: Freedman was her victim, not her partner.
