Authentication Lawsuits Chill Speech

The Art Newspaper on authentication disputes and how “experts” are reluctant to opine on the authenticity of artworks given the high stakes and rising state of litigation in this art law area. Will the lack of “expert” testimony encourage forgers? Should there be laws protecting art historians and other “experts” from lawsuits?
